General Wagering Rules

PHONE - When wagering over the phone, please give account number and password to begin phone conversation. After placing a wager the clerk will give you a readback on all bets placed on the call. Please listen carefully and confirm if, and ONLY IF, all wagers are correct. To confirm, simply repeat your account number and password. All calls are recorded so please call the office if there is a discrepancy to listen to the tape.

INTERNET - You are 100% responsible for any internet activity on your account. After placing a wager make sure to check the “Pending” link to confirm that the ticket was accepted. There can be various reasons why a wager may be dropped prior to confirmation such as a line change, lost connection, etc. Again, always check your pending plays as there is nothing that can be done after the game or event has started.

Tropic Sports does not delete wagers for any reason other than an obvious line error, so please wager carefully. In the unlikely event of an obvious line error any wager placed will be cancelled and all monies refunded. If you notify us of the error you may receive a free play.

The maximum payout on ANY wager for ANY event is $30.000. Be sure and place your wagers accordingly. Note that this does not apply for horses. For our maximun horse payouts please click on the link above.

For betting purposes, the winner of an event is determined on the date of the events original conclusion. Protests, reversals, and overturned decisions are not recognized for gambling purposes in accordance with standard Las Vegas rules.

Please refer to the top of the page for a sport by sport detail of our house rules. Be advised that we may differ slightly from other online sport books and/or Las Vegas bookmakers on certain events so make sure you are familiar with OUR house rules. REQUIRED LENGTHS FOR WAGERS TO BE OFFICIAL

Game must go 4 ½ innings, 5 innings if the home team is behind for money line wagers to be official. Totals, Run Lines, and Team Totals must go at least 8 ½ innings, 9 innings if home team is behind. First half wagers are official once the game has gone 5 innings regardless what happens after. i.e. (Game suspended, postponed etc.)

If a game is suspended due to rain or any other reason and replayed on a later date all full game wagers will be deemed no action unless game is suspended in extra innings. If a game is suspended in extra innings, the score is based on the last completed inning and all wagers stand. Example: Score is tied 3-3 in the 10th inning and visiting team scores a run to go up 4-3 before game is interrupted by rain showers. They decide to finish the game the next day. The score will go back to the last completed inning (which was 3-3) and run lines, money lines, and totals will be graded based on the 3-3 score.

GOLF

Matchups

We offer wagering on entire tournament matchups as well as matchups for each round. In each case both players must hit at least one shot for wagers to be official. If either player withdraws prior to starting the tournament or the round, wagers will be deemed no action and all bets refunded. In the rare event that a penalty stroke is added to a players score during or after the round or tournament is over we will re-grade wagers as long as correction occurs prior to midnight EST. Matchups will be considered action as long as tournament or round is completed within one week of start day.

For entire tournament matchups the winner is determined by who shoots a lower score. If one player makes the cut and another does not, the player who makes the cut is the automatic winner. if neither player makes the cut, the winner is determined by who scored lower in the rounds completed.

Odds to Win

Prior to each tournament you may place a wager on a certain player to win. Please be aware that our maximum payout for Odds to Win is $30,000. Be sure and place your wagers accordingly. If two or more players are tied after the Final Round, the outcome is determined by the winner of the ensuing playoff. Any wager placed on the odds to win will have action regardless if the player starts the tournament or not.

Props and Group Betting

In major tournaments we will offer certain props and group odds.

Please note: We are now using dead heat rules in regards to multiple winner payouts. Please refer to the link for clarification <DEAD HEAT >

.

HORSES

Rules

Please make wagers at least 5 minutes prior to start of the race. If the wager is placed inside the five minute period you run the risk of having your wager cancelled or “timed out”. Logistically, it is impossible for our managers to watch every race from around the country so the “5 minute rule” is our only protection from wagers being placed passed the scheduled post time. The official off time and results of the races will come directly from the daily racing form.

PAYOUTS

Our maximum payouts:

WIN 15-1 or $32 - on a $2 bet
PLACE 7-1 or $16 - on a $2 bet
SHOW 3-1 or $8 - on a $2 bet

EXOTICS 99-1

(Exotics includes exactas, quinellas, trifectas etc.)

We also have a maximum payout of $2500 per ticket. Example: If you wager $500 to win on a 10-1 horse you will get paid $2500 rather than the full payout of $5000.

Please understand that we do not necessarily pay full track odds! If you feel your wager will exceed our maximum payouts then we encourage you to place those bets elsewhere.

.

SOCCER

Soccer events include three options

Team A wins, Team B wins, or a Draw. When wagering on the moneyline with three options, you must have the selected option be correct for your wager to be a winner. If you select Team B and the event ends in a Draw, your selection on Team B is a loser.

Overtime and shoot-outs do not count unless the wagering option "OUTRIGHT" or "ADVANCES" is listed.

Full game soccer wagers are official on the result at full time (90 minutes of play + referee stoppage time) unless otherwise specified. If a match is suspended/abandoned or postponed/rescheduled, and not resumed within 24 hours from the actual scheduled start time, wagers on the match will automatically constitute NO ACTION and be refunded.

Any wager on whether a team advances in a cup competition, or raises the cup, will have action regardless of a suspended or postponed match.

Soccer events must be played on the dates scheduled unless otherwise specified. Kickoff dates and times displayed on our website are a reference only and are not guaranteed to be accurate.

Parlays with spreads/moneylines to totals of the same soccer game are not permitted.

.

TENNIS

Tennis match start times are often delayed by rain, darkness, or time constraints. Match start times are constantly being revised by event organizers.

Wagers have action once a ball is served, regardless of the date the match/event is started or completed. Two full sets must be completed without either player retiring or being disqualified for head to head match-up bets to stand. Otherwise, bets will be cancelled and all money will be refunded. Matches delayed by rain, darkness, or other circumstances will not be voided. These matches will remain pending until their completion.

Any wager on a spread (number of games won) must be a completed match for action, withdrawals and any other circumstances resulting in a shortened match would constitute no action for spread wagers.

.

BOXING & MMA

MMA fights are taken off the board 10 minutes prior to scheduled start time. Please place wagers early.

Fights must take place within one week of the listed date of the fight or the bout will be graded "no action" (unless otherwise noted). Venue changes within the same country will not affect the status of pending wagers. Venue changes to a different country will result in a grade of "no action" on all pending wagers.

Results will be graded based on the official result at ringside. Official or unofficial sanctioning body overturns of a fight decision based on appeal, suspension, lawsuit, drug testing result, or any other fighter sanction will not be recognized for wagering purposes.

In boxing, a wager on a fighter to win by "KO" wins if the selected fighter wins by KO, TKO, or DQ.

A wager on a fighter to "win by any decision" wins if the selected fighter wins by technical decision or a decision where the fight goes the complete distance.

When a "draw" occurs, wagers on both fighters "to win" are refunded. Other proposition wagers are graded according to their specific wording. Any fight that is deemed "no contest" or "no decision" will have all wagers refunded.

A total listed on a fight represents the total number of completed rounds. The halfway point of a round is at exactly one minute and thirty seconds into a three minute round. Thus, 4½ rounds would be one minute and thirty seconds of the 5th round. The halfway point of a two minute round is at the one minute mark. The halfway point of a five minute round is at the two minutes and thirty seconds mark.

If an over/under boxing total lands on the exact half round total in a fight, the wager will be a push.

In round distance wagering, if a fighter fails to answer the bell for the start of any round, the fight officially ended in the last round fought. In total wagering, if a fighter does not answer the bell to start a round where the fight has gone the exact distance listed on the total, the UNDER is the winner.

Fight Distance Example

Tyson/Lewis total rounds are listed as 6 rounds.
Tyson fails to answer the bell to start the 7th round.
The fight officially ends in the 6th round.
The proposition would have UNDER as the winner.
A round is not complete until a fighter starts the following round.
A technical draw will be graded as "no action."

.

AUTO RACING

All match-ups have action after both drivers have crossed the start/finish line at the beginning of the race. Formation and/or warm-up laps are not considered for betting purposes.

The driver to win bets must have 60% of the racing field start the race for action. Wagering options with multiple winners must have 80% of the racing field start the race for action.

All wagers are graded immediately at a race's conclusion. Unofficial results at that time are used for grading purposes. Any disqualifications and/or position penalties that occur on a later date are not recognized for gambling purposes.

If an alternate driver replaces a driver during a race, the new driver replaces the old driver in all match-ups, propositions, and futures wagers. The new driver's finishing position is credited to the old driver.

.

DEAD HEAT

In a "dead heat", two or more competitors are joint winners in a race or contest. For wagering purposes, the wagered amount on a selection is divided by the number of competitors involved in the dead heat (divided stake) and multiplied by the number of paying positions in question. The divided stake gets paid the full odds of the original selection. The remainder of the stake is a loser.

Dead Heat Example:

Straight Bet selected on Spieth TOP 10 +350, for $100.

Scenario #1: Two golfers – including Spieth – tie for 10th place.
The risk amount ($100) is divided by 2 as there are only 2 golfers sharing one same paying position (10th place). In this case, half of the stake ($50) gets paid full odds, and the other half ($50 as well) is lost. $50 on Spieth +350 wins $175.

A bet on any other golfer for TOP 10 that is not tied in 10th place, but yet a winner, will pay full odds for the whole amount wagered.

Scenario #2: Five golfers – including Spieth – tie for 10th place.

The risk amount ($100) is divided by the number of competitors involved in the "dead heat" (5 golfers) = $20 (divided stake) and multiplied by the number of paying positions (there is only one paying position as it is the last place in which 5 golfers are tied). The remainder $80 of the risk amount are lost.

The divided stake gets paid full odds of the wager as if originally the bet was only for $20. $20 on Spieth +350 pays $70 to win.
A bet on any other golfer for TOP 10 that is not tied in 10th place, but yet a winner, will pay full odds for the whole amount wagered.

Scenario #3: Five golfers – including Spieth – tie for 8th place.

The risk amount ($100) is divided by the number of competitors involved in the "dead heat" (5 golfers) = $20 (divided stake) and multiplied by the number of paying positions (3: 8th, 9th & 10th) = $60. The wager amount to be paid at full odds is $60. The remainder $40 of the risk amount are lost.

$60 on Spieth + 350 pays $210 to win.
A bet on any other golfer for TOP 10 that is not tied in 8th place, but yet a winner, will pay full odds for the whole amount wagered.
